What are the best Harry Potter games? If you have ever looked at a Pensiero in search of the answer, you are in luck … And not the one that causes the potion Felix Felicis. These are the best Harry Potter games, before the next Fantastic Beasts movie is released and where to find them.
It seems like yesterday, but 18 years have passed since Harry Potter, and the Philosopher’s Stone arrived at the bookstores in the United Kingdom. Little did she imagine her author, Joanne Rowling (J. K. Rowling was the nickname she adopted because, according to the editor’s chief, children preferred books signed by men), that the child who survived would become the most significant phenomenon of the last decade.
With seven novels, two spin-offs, a short story (which will be adapted to the theater with a casting that is causing quite a controversy), eight films and a novena on the way, the adventures of Harry Potter at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry have conquered the hearts of children and adults alike.
Harry Potter – This is How his Characters Have Changed
But the enormous success of the books not only meant its film adaptation: we also had a good portion of Harry Potter video games. Each film was accompanied by a new game, although they were not necessarily adaptations of them. In fact, there are different versions of each installment, and the differences between them make that, sometimes, we are facing totally different games.
And although the story of the young wizard and his friends Ron and Hermione concluded nine years ago, we will always remember the good times they made us go through in whatever format. Therefore, today, we woke up wanting to leave behind the Muggle world and travel to the darkest corner of Diagón Alley, where the seven Horcrux hide.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and PC)
Given the disaster that resulted in the Deathly Hallows games Part 1 and Part 2 (who was the genius who thought the Gears of War game system fit the Harry Potter universe?), the title based on the sixth movie / novel, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, is the young man’s last decent game. We can explore Hogwarts, as if it were a sandbox, looking for secrets, dueling with other students, and participating in fun mini-games (potions, Quidditch ). An adventure that will delight fans, although it is slightly inferior to its predecessor.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and PC)
Speaking of the king of Rome. After the fiasco that involved the video game of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (curious, since it is one of the books/movies that most lent themselves to offer a good title), EA surrounded himself with fans of the saga to try to get the final game.
The result was a return to the roots of the franchise (emphasis on exploration and puzzles) and what is most likely the best virtual representation of Hogwarts to date. It is a pleasure to tour the castle and visit emblematic places, such as the Great Hall or the Gryffindor Common Room, while we discover secrets and improve the power of our spells. And all this, accompanied by the incredible soundtrack composed by James Hannigan.
