The Lexi offers up a slightly alternative Hallowe’en offering – Babak Anvari’s allegory of 1980s Iran-Iraq war era oppression which drew favourable comparisons to The Babadook and left Sundance audiences impressed. A.A. Dowd writes in his review: “How many horror movies feature someone fleeing the unholy terror in their home, only to be arrested for not wearing proper attire in public?”
