With Twin Peaks Season 3 in uncertain territory after director David Lynch announced he was pulling out of the revival, breaking a million caffeine-stoked fans hearts in process, perhaps the best way to deal with 'Peak sadness' would be to go to the Lexi Cinema tonight where the Twin Peaks prequel/sequel Fire Walk With Me is playing. Includes an introduction from Tom Huddleston of Time Out Film and Lindsey Bowden of Twin Peaks UK Festival. Remember, don't take the ring, and get all your garmonboza.
From the Lexi:
With a very special intro from Time Out's finest film critic, Tom Huddleston, and the director of Twin Peaks UK Festival, Lindsey Bowden, and quite possibly some cherry pie and some damn fine coffee, we invite you to join us for a one-off show of David Lynch's ripsnorting prequel to the series that changed the face of television.
In addition to reintroducing Coop, the Log Lady, Leo Johnson, Leland Palmer, Shelly and Bobby Briggs, the film introduced a rasp of new characters played by, amongst others, David Bowie, Chris Isaak and Mr Lynch himself. A nine-part Season 3 is apparently in production for release in 2016...
Our emblematic 'quote for the day': The Log Lady: When this kind of fire starts, it is very hard to put out. The tender boughs of innocence burn first, and the wind rises, and then all goodness is in jeopardy.
