Joss Whedon goes straight to VOD with new indie project In Your Eyes

Despite directing the billion-dollar grossing The Avengers for Marvel, director Joss Whedon has kept his oar in the waters of smaller projects. Last year he directed a low budget take on Shaespeare's Much Ado . Now he has arranged for his latest indie production, In Your Eyes, to be made available for digital download just minutes after its world premiere at the recently-concluded Tribeca 2014 film festival.

The film was directed by Brin Hill with Whedon writing, producing, and releasing the film through his company, Bellwether Pictures, on the Vimeo On Demand service. It is available worldwide at a cost of $5 for a 72-hour rental period. Whedon recorded this short message for the festival to announce the scheme, being unable to attend due to Avengers: Age of Ultron commitments.
