Twitch quotes a Wall Street Journal report that Warner Brothers president of worldwide production, Greg Silverman, has confirmed that the studio is planning a Justice League movie, to be directed by Zack Snyder, which he will direct following his 2016 Superman vs Batman (still untitled) feature.
"It will be a further expansion of this universe," confirmed Silverman. "Superman vs Batman will lead into Justice League."
The Man of Steel sequel begins shooting next month, with Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. A script for the Justice League film is apparently in development at Warner Bros right now, and this news seems to confirm that DC is planing to bring out more and more of its superhero front and back catalog so as to compete with the successes of Disney/Marvel with their team-ups of superhero franchise characters across multiple films.
Sue Kroll, president of worldwide marketing, also seemed to confirm that DC/Warners were once again considering a Wonder Woman movie (one was already greenlit one years ago, which Avengers director Joss Whedon would've helmed, though the project fell through) . "That is our hope. With the right script, that could be viable. The world is ready for her," Kroll said.
