The Kennington Bioscope film club present a day all about celebrating the romance...and risks of rail, with films the silent cinema era.
Featuring Monty Banks aboard a runaway train, the famous A Kiss in the Tunnel from 1899, Jean Arthur in The Block Signal (1926), the Lumière brothers' famous L'arrivée d'un train en gare de La Ciotat (1896), and talks from film expert and historian Kevin Brownlow as he pilots The Runaway Express (1926) before conducting audiences through the making of Abel Gance's La Roue (1923). All with live music from world renowned musicians.
All day museum café & late bar / Café Jamyang will be serving dinner at 7pm. Vouchers on sale on the cinema museum site.
