The Curzon Bloomsbury , recently re-opened after an acclaimed redesign by architect Takero Shimizaki, plays host to a special screening of Russian director Andrei Tarkovsky's Stalker. Fittingly, the Curzon was the first to show the film in the UK in 1980, and this screening is the launch event of Sculpting Time, a nationwide BFI-supported Tarkovsky retrospective. To introduce this special screening of Stalker ,Curzon will welcome architect Takero Shimazaki, whose vision for the refurbishment of the cinema inspired by the film recently won the RIBA Award.
