25 September - 3 October at Picturehouse Central
The Doc'n Roll festival returns, this time using the new venue of London's swish Picturehouse Central, fast establishing itself as the venue for festivals (Sundance London will be there next year).
The festival runs from 25 September until 4 October at Picturehouse Central with a programme of documentaries focusing on the theme of "Instigators & Innovators" across many genres and cultures including rock, blues, flamenco, gospel and folk. Many of the films will be receiving their world, European, UK or London premieres.
Highlights include the European premiere of We Like It Like That - Boogaloo on Friday 2 October, and filmmaker Matthew Ramirez Warren will attend the screening to talk about how his film explores the significance of the boogaloo movement within the history of Latin music. Also playing is an special advanced preview of new music documentary Sleaford Mods - Invisible Britain, which follows Sleaford Mods on their recent tour of the broken down and boarded up parts of the country.
