Crap Film Club Presents: JACK FROST

Crap Film Club is a film club that does what it says on the proverbial tin: they get groups of likeminded people together, usually in the Book Club in Shoreditch, and allow them to witness the worst world cinema has to offer. In time for Christmas, the CFC has put on a screening of the epically bad but also epically festive JACK FROST on 15 December. Read one below:

Jack Frost is an American horror comedy film written and directed by Michael Cooney and released in 1997. The movie takes place in the fictional town of Snowmonton, where (on the week before Christmas) a truck carrying serial killer Jack Frost to his execution crashes into a genetics truck. The genetic material causes Jack's body to mutate and fuse together with the snow on the ground. Jack is presumed dead and his body melts away. However, he comes back as a killer snowman and takes revenge on the man who finally caught him, Sheriff Sam Tiler. The film was panned by critics (it has an 7% rating out of thirteen reviews at Rotten Tomatoes) but has since become a cult classic.

Join us to for the final Crap Film Club of 2015 and for the foreseeable future (we're taking a long holiday!), to enjoy the least high-concept Xmas film of all time. Marvel at the cheap yet over-the-top special FX. Gasp as Shannon Elizabeth (pre-American Pie) gets rather too well acquainted with a carrot. Groan at Jack's clumsy way with a one-liner. Not to be confused with the cutesy Michael Keaton flick, this is the best worst Yuletide movie ever made so don't miss it!
