Following the passing of actor and comedian Robin Williams, many film clubs and cinemas have been paying tribute to the man with charity screenings. The Prince Charles has it's own screening, supporting the mental health organisation Mind, planned for September 6th. The films? Two which undoubtedly come up again and again in lists of 'favourite Robin William's movies': Good Morning Vietnam and Dead Poet's Society (they were chosen by the PCC after a huge amount of feedback).
We have been hoping to host a screening to celebrate the wonderful work of Mr. Robin Williams, but had decided to hold off a little to let the sad news sink in. But the sheer amount of requests we received for such an event kept pouring in, so we decided to bring forward our plans and invited our wonderful audience (that's you) to help select the two films we'd screen in tribute.
After 240+ comments, a whole heap of tweets and a bunch of emails, the two films selected for our event are: GOOD MORNING VIETNAM and DEAD POETS SOCIETY.
The two films will screen back-to-back on Saturday 6th September from 20:00 and we shall be donating all of the profits taken at the box office to the wonderful people over at MIND.
Tickets are £12.50 for Members & £15 for Non-Members and are on sale now!
