Terracotta Far East Film Festival 2014

Terracotta Fest is back to bring to your eyes a kaleidoscopic variety of new and classic Asian films. This years festival will take place again at The Prince Charles Cinema and The Institute of Contemporary Art, London between 23 May – 1 June 2014.

This years special ‘SPOTLIGHT ON: …’ will focus on the Philippines, which is of particular interest to me as my new sister in law is Filipino! There are plenty of Q&A's with filmmakers and actors, plus horror fans can catch an Asian-flavored all-nighter. Those familiar with Asian cinema will recognise the presence of the more familiar big names in the schedule: Andy Lau, Jackie Chan, Takashi Miike and Kim Ki-duk.

Full line up and tickets here.

From the TFEFF press release:

Terracotta Far East Film Festival runs from 23 May to 1 June at the Institute of Contemporary Arts and the Prince Charles Cinema, with an exceptional line-up of films, including many rare or one-off screenings, plus director and actor Q&As and masterclasses.

Erik Matti's break-through crime thriller, ON THE JOB opens our Spotlight On: Philippines strand on Friday 23 May, with the director in attendance.

Don't miss your chance to see Kim Ki-duk's daring drama, MOEBIUS, or catch Dante Lam's critically acclaimed, mixed martial arts actioner, UNBEATABLE.

Jackie Chan is back in crazy action caper, CHINESE ZODIAC, while Donnie Yen kicks underworld ass in SPECIAL ID.

Watch Andy Lau save Hong Kong in FIRESTORM and delve into the world of Filipino B movies with Andrew Leavold's fascinating documentary, THE SEARCH FOR WENG WENG.
