The barbican hosts a concert focused on the films of Charlie Chaplin, with scores by Timothy Brock and Neil Brand – whose acclaimed score for the 1928 film Underground was co-commissioned by the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Comedian Paul Merton will introduce The Sound of Chaplin event and take part in a Q & A with composer Neil Brand.
The Chaplin film showing is the surreal feature-length Shoulder Arms along with other short films including:
